Sustainability at PrimeJack:
Less Meat, Same Taste, Lower Impact

per KG
PrimeJack®
At PrimeJack, we believe sustainability means reducing meat consumption without compromising taste and texture.
Sustainability isn’t about distance, it’s about the total footprint — from tree to table. PrimeJack®️ emits just 0.34 kg CO₂ per kg — much lower than soy, and dramatically lower than meat.
To support our mission we performed a Life Cycle Analysis with the support of the research group SAM BV.
Our full report is available upon request from our impact officer.

Here’s why our footprint is so low:
🌱 No new land use – Our jackfruit comes from existing trees in diverse agroforestry systems. No deforestation, no monocultures.
🌱 No irrigation or chemicals – Jackfruit grows naturally without fertilizers or pesticides.
🌱 Local processing – We dehydrate near the source, reducing food waste and transport weight by 80%.
🌱 100% renewable energy – Our facilities in Uganda run on hydropower from the Nile.
🌱 Efficient shipping – We use sea freight, not air.
In short: smart sourcing, minimal inputs, low energy use, and efficient transport.
Zooming in to the data we see that the highest CO2 emissions are generated by:
A. Container transport from Mombasa to Rotterdam
B. Electricity use of the drying process in the factory in Kenya
C. The jackfruit waste during production (this is 30% peel of the jackfruit)
D. The use of boda (motorbikes) from farmer to collection point
Based on the results we have designed our journey towards carbon neutral.
